- A fictional language invented by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is the language of the inscription on Bilbo Baggins' ring. Tolkien never described the whole language, and this article attempts to figure out some of the grammar and vocabulary based on inscriptions and their translations into English as reported by Tolkien in several of his books. The Yamada language institute has collected together some Tolkien fonts.
